Restoration
We do restoration of rare antiquarian books, paper restoration, mending & book boxes, including
clamshell boxes. As regards book restoration ARS OBSCURA Bookbinders basically does whatever
it is that the client desires, within reason. A minimal investment in restoring & rebinding a rare or
cherished book can make the difference between the potential value and the realized value of the
book collections & art books in your personal or professional collection. We utilize standard paper
mending techniques & materials for tattered & torn pages & topical paper deacidification.

Archival Boxes
We offer speciality boxes for first editions as delineated by the Library of Congress blueprints & more.
These include clamshell boxes in all their variations & slipcases. The primary satisfaction in boxes is the
addressing of encasements for loose sheets, art prints, or photographs the client does not want bound

together but does want to be able to shelve with the rest of their literary collection.

Papers that are no longer available on the open market.
These can be utilized via color copies with remarkable results whether in
duplicating original endsheets of the book being restored or selecting the right
pattern for any book. Marble paper endsheets from what suppliers are making
today are available as well. In our blank books line we take care to use chemically balanced
neutral ph paper for longer life. We will do that for limited edition publisher & POD upon request.

With small press publishing, ARS OBSCURA Bookbinders will consider contracts for private publishing of limited press-runs, stressing originality & quality including library editions, cloth & even paperbacks. We will print it for you in any quantity. The result is optimal professional appearance at a minimum cost. We can print your art & graphics, making it suitable for public distribution, using the finest bindings to meet your needs. You can choose limited editions & reorder when needed. PUBLISHING.

Of all the "erotic" art being offered on contemporary markets, this print is unique & suitable for framing. Printed on a laid paper, Frankfurt White, made in Germany. The poster version is on a white production parchment paper stock.

This reproduction has been executed by Joel Radcliffe & published by ARS OBSCURA in 1987. The poster version is printed on a tan production parchment paper stock. A fine art limited edition print, signed & numbered, is the second version, printed on a laid paper, Nideggen, made in Germany. Suitable for framing.
