Although we've developed a line of journals that has
proved
extremely popular, we can do custom work as well. Please inquire.
We can manufacture a custom field
manual, register, ship's log or other journal to your specifications.
We've a gorgeous line of journals that we offer, with such
inlaid art
motifs as a Buddhist Endless Knot, Celtic Knot, Celtic
Banner, Hexagram
or Pentagram in our standard colors of black, brown, burgundy or green
kidskin.
The paper that we've standardized
on is an archivally sound Starwhite Vicksburg 80 lb. text of an ivory
color tone. This stock is a domestic supply Simpson paper.
Being folded
from parent sheets, the hand sewing is typically done on
linen tapes.
The bottom edge is hand deckled. The top & fore edge of the book
are stained black with a generous 100% silk ribbon for
bookmark.
The
headbands are made from the same leather as the hide that's used for
the binding.
Typically we offer false raised cords on the book spine.
Gold/silver stamping can be added on the spine or front cover @$6.00/type
line extra.
The usual color range is typically black, brown, burgundy &
green.
For matching marble paper endsheets, add $10.00 per copy.
Otherwise, we select a gray or sienna Fabriano Ingres at no additional
cost.
The Standard format with no art motif is the first of four styles.
The small format is 5.5" x 8.5" with
285
pages.
The medium format is 6.25" x 10" with 285 pages.
The large format is 9" x 13" with 350 pages.

The large format is $180.00
Next we
offer our art motifs.
The choices are Buddhist Knot, Celtic Knot, Celtic
Banner, Hexagram or Pentagram. The medium & large format styles
have the art motif on both the
front & back covers of the journal. The small format has the art on
the front cover only.
